1. Lip balm holder

A great way to hold your lip balm or chapstick tubes. Sew4Home shares how to make this at sew4home.com/fast-fridays-lip-balm-key-ring-mini-cases/

2. Bookmarks

Book marks are great to give to that bookworm in your life. The Crafty Mummy shows how you can make a fabric scrap bookmark visit thecraftymummy.com/2012/10/fabric-scrap-bookmarks/

You could do the long traditional bookmarks or the corner page ones.

3. Heating pads / hand warmers

4. Lanyards

Use scraps of fabric to make keychain lanyards. These are popular to have for those who have to wear name tags. See how to make one from Tally’s Treasury at tallystreasury.com/2014/08/diy-fabric-lanyards/

5. Quilts

Yes! You can use that scrap fabric remnants to make a quilt with. See my first quilt! After all a quilt is patch work of sewed fabrics together (to sum it up). I plan to try to make more quilts and share those here too.

6. Patching

Scrap fabric can also be used to patch clothing or other items. You can patch those holes in jeans!

I keep my scraps in tote and I used my Cricut and put Fabric Remnants on the side of it. See image below.

7. Decorations

Put your scrap fabric strip pieces in a vase, jar or other glassware to create an art piece to display. I know! You aren’t sewing with this one, but it’s still cool! See the picture below

You can make coasters that you can use to hold your cups. These can be made just like a single quilt block.

10. Cord Keepers

Keep your cord together using scraps of fabric see how at Leafy Treetop’s Made by Me & Shared by You. (Also can hold wired ear buds).
