Autism Awareness to Autism Acceptance – April is Autism Awareness Month, Autism Awareness Day is April 2 each year, a time for raising awareness about autism and the challenges that individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) face. April 18th is recognized as Adult Autism Awareness Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in adults. Although autism is often associated with children, it is a lifelong condition that affects individuals well into adulthood. In fact, the prevalence of autism in adults is estimated to be around 1.7% of the population, and yet, many people are still unaware of the challenges faced by adults with autism.
