Another sewing hack that can come in handy is to use a hair elastic to keep your fabric from slipping off the end of your sewing machine while you’re stitching.
Simply loop a hair elastic around the end of your sewing machine arm, and then slip the end of your fabric under the elastic before you start sewing. This will help to keep the fabric in place and prevent it from sliding around while you’re trying to sew a straight line.
Additionally, if you need to sew a long seam, you can use several hair elastics spaced out along the edge of the fabric to help keep it in place as you sew.

A hair tie (also called a ponytail holder, hair band, hair elastic, wrap around, gogo, or bobble) is an item used to fasten hair, particularly long hair, away from areas such as the face.
