I Rescued a quilt on the curb of the road – It is a double wedding ring quilt.
The back has the batting exposed and needs redone. The front still looks like it’s in good condition. I immediately took it and threw it in the washer … just in case.
I plan to try to rescue it by putting new batting and a new back to it. Give it some TLC. Since I’m still new at quilting, it would be a good way to learn and practice for my other quilts I’m working on.
I am not sure who’s this was or when it was quilted. All I know is it was outside at the curb of the road. It had other furniture there too. I’m sure it’s from someone who moved out and left it behind.
If you might know anything about it, feel free to share in the comments below.
Follow this blog to see me try to fix this quilt and the other quilts I’m working on. Plus, I plan to share a blog post explaining this style of quilt.
Update it is around 90” x 96”
Also noted the front is not quilted it is a printed front.
