Instagram Shop keeps showing hidden solved

Instagram Shop keeps showing hidden solved - I recently changed to IG & FB check out, and now IG is not displaying the shop. It Shows IG hidden and when I try to make it visible it goes back to hidden. It was working fine until I added the check out.

I’ve spent two days trying to research this with no answers. So here is what worked for me.

I just disabled checkout on Facebook and Instagram, however, I did lose ALL of my prior product tags on Instagram. I guess, I would have to go back and edit all posts to add them again.

Well … so it appeared until I …

Started retagging newer posts and got errors. I did a refresh of my IG and they showed back up.

I guess there is a bug with FB and IG Checkout.

I even tried to reactivate FB Checkout again and it made IG hidden again. So, I just will make it check out on my site until that bug gets fixed!

Any changes you make are at your own risk. However, this is what worked for me. It might not fix yours, which may mean something else is wrong.

Go to this link to be shown how to change back to check out on your own site.

Update: Meta is forcing you to have Checkout with Facebook or Instagram starting April of 2024. I switched it back to the Checkout on FB and IG and it causes my IG to stay hidden. When I go to the Business Asset page and click to make it visible, it resets back to Hidden. I am not sure how to fix it so I can tag again and my shop show on IG. Does anyone know how they can help? It doesn’t seem you can get a live person with META help.

So, I guess it is not solved now, since they are forcing you to use their checkout if you want to keep tagging products. It just keeps defaulting back to hidden, instead of visible. If I try to go back to checkout on my site, it gives me an error message.

If you know a way to actually make it work, please feel free to share how. Thank you.

Updated: I contacted support which was not easy to do. They resolved it. No clue why or how to fix. Some of my existing tags are gone. But, I can tag on Instagram again.
