Measure Twice Cut Once – There’s an old saying when it comes to woodworking or building a house … “measure twice cut once.” That saying applies to sewing as well. #measuretwice #cutonce #measuretwicecutonce
Measure Twice Cut Once
That saying is true because it’s best to double check your size before you make your cut.
In woodworking and house building if you measure incorrectly, too short, you cannot add on you have to start all over again. Even in graphic design, if you cut the project too short, you’ll have to reprint it.
At least with sewing, depending on what you’re making, you might be able to add back on, doing a patchwork similar to quilting.
Do you measure twice?
