Pulaski County woman has crafted over 800 quilts – In Bronston, Kentucky, as winter approaches, Cloa Hardy from Pulaski County has crafted over 800 quilts, each with a special purpose. Her sewing room is filled with stacks of quilts and materials, and in every stitch, there’s a dose of love. These quilts were initially made for cancer patients, but they’ve since become a source of comfort and fundraising.

Cloa shares, “It helps me as much as it does them.” Now, several quilts are used for fundraisers and given to those in need. She recalls, “One guy I made him one, and he said that when he got to hurting, he just put that quilt around him and knew it was a hug from me.” Cloa emphasizes the soothing quality of these quilts, much like wrapping a baby in one, which often leads to a peaceful slumber.
Her joy comes from providing these quilts to people who benefit from them and supporting various organizations through her charitable efforts.
