Steve designed something in Adobe Illustrator since he is also a graphic designer. Then he saved it as a SVG since Cricut won’t allow for EPS vector images.
HTV is not like regular vinyl. HTV only Adheres with heat. While regular vinyl adheres with the built in glue backing.

One thing I had to look up was which side up and which side down on the HTV … It is the shiny side down (glossy side) and make it mirrored on your Cricut or cutting machine.
When you go to make your vinyl, make sure to put your Cricut on “Other”. Then when you go to Make it, select the iron on vinyl From the list.
You want it to cut the vinyl and not the transfer film. As you do not need transfer tape, like you do with regular vinyl.
It is advised to do this on a big table and not a small TV tray table.
I used a common household iron to transfer the HTV. It worked just fine and those are cheap.
I didn’t get it centered. I was just trying my hand with a very cheap shirt and iron on vinyl (heat transfer vinyl).
