This video just came out Friday, August 21, 2020. It is used to help show the students of some of the new polices and expectations. You will recognize the tune, as it comes form Vanilla Ice hit song, “Ice Ice Baby”.

That is where Maddox begins to rap about how to stay safe while returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also shares about following social distancing, not sharing face masks, getting your temperature checked at the door and more. He also showed how to property wear a face masks (Must cover your nose and mouth!)

Transcript:

Yo, Corryton!
Let’s Kick It!
Mask, Mask, Safety (x2)
Alright Stop!
Wash your hands and listen.
20 seconds so the germs are missing
Don’t get too close or you might be
passing germs to your friends that we can’t see.
Will it ever stop?
Yo, let’s hope so!

If you do your part to help slow.
See if your temperature’s 100.4
and if it is, you can’t come through the door!
Masks, on your way to your room.
Keep them on your face so the COVID won’t bloom.
In library, art, music making melody
You gotta wear mask, but wear it properly
cover your mouth and nose it must stay.
Under your nose is NOT the right way!

Sneeze in your mask?
No problem, we’ll solve it.
Get another mask, now your teacher resolve it.
Mask, Mask, Safety
Just don’t trade!
Mask, Mask, Safety
Please don’t trade!
Mask, Mask, Safety
On your face
Mask, Mask, Safety
So don’t spread

Now to get the school day started
How to do assembly when we have to stay parted?
Two grades in the gym, so we can be spacing
Others in your classroom with video replacing
Tuning In …
So you can see assembly
A little weird, since we’re doing it differently.
Don’t worry, to assembly when will you go?
For two weeks, we’ll let you know!

Rollin’ to the gym you go,
with your mask pulled up, so your germs won’t blow!
Friends wave as you walk by.
Wave back to say hi.
Did you touch? No, smile with your eye.
Kept on pursing the blue dot.
I bust a fet so I can sit down on the next spot.
You find a sticker, YO!
So you continue to
Put your booty on a sticker that you see is blue!
Sitting on a sticker so you’re 6 feet apart
Keeping germs there with you makes you look smart!
Sitting on a dot in line.

Maddox walks in with a mask feelin’ fine!
Walking, down the hall next to wall
So you don’t get germs up in your eyeball.
Listen, to my words and I’ll tell
how to wash your hands so they’re cleaned really well.

Soap up!
Rub your hands together real fast
For 20 seconds, let that time pass.
In between fingers, don’t forget the back.
Now rinse them and to class you get back!
Now they are clean.
You know what I mean?!

Keep them out of your face, that should be routine!
Sneeze in your mask?
No problem! We’ll solve it.
Get another mask.
Now your teacher resolved it.

Mask, Mask, Safety
Just don’t trade!
Mask, Mask, Safety
Please don’t trade!
Mask, Mask, Safety
On your face
Mask, Mask, Safety
So don’t spread!

Take heed, cause I’m a mask wearing poet.
Skip a seat at lunch just in case you didn’t know it.
Masks on while you’re going through the lunch line.
Until you sit down, then take them off is fine.
Masks back on when you’re through with your lunch,
and your friends will thank you a bunch!

When you’re in class, you’ll have your mask on.
But that is cool, we’re moving right along,
Through this, day that your teacher made
6 feet, so you don’t get sick what we prayed!
Dismiss, we do more of the same.
Sitting on a dot is the name of the game.
Keep my mask on when it’s time to let loose.
Germs in the air is our masking-wearing excuse.

Sneeze in your mask?
No problem, we’ll solve it.
Get another mask, now your teacher resolve it.
Mask, Mask, Safety
Just don’t trade!
Mask, Mask, Safety
Please don’t trade!
Mask, Mask, Safety
On your face
Mask, Mask, Safety
So don’t spread!
Yo, man, let’s get outta here!
Mask to ya mother!
Mask, Mask, Safety
I’m told, I’m told
(Please wash your) Mask, Mask, Safety
I’m told, I’m told
