It is located on one end near the playground. If you go please respect the school when school is in session. I suggest to go on the weekend or in the summer when school is not in session.

About Flat Lick, KY

Flat Lick is a small unincorporated community located in Knox County, Kentucky, United States. It is situated in southeastern Kentucky, approximately 15 miles northeast of the city of Barbourville. The community is named after the nearby Flat Lick Creek, which is a tributary of the Cumberland River.

The history of Flat Lick dates back to the late 1700s when it was first settled by European pioneers. The community grew in the 19th century as a result of the timber and coal industries. Today, Flat Lick remains a small rural community with a population of around 1,000 people.

One notable attraction in Flat Lick is the Thomas Walker State Historic Site. This historic site commemorates the life of Thomas Walker, a Virginia physician and explorer who was one of the first Europeans to explore the region. The site features a replica of the cabin where Walker lived, as well as hiking trails and picnic areas.

Flat Lick is also known for its natural beauty, with rolling hills, forests, and streams providing a scenic backdrop for outdoor recreation. The area is popular among hikers, anglers, and hunters.
