White Shirt Day commemorates the men and women who participated in a sit-down strike at General Motors in 1937. #whiteshirtday
White Shirt Day
Also known as White T-Shirt Day and one of the goes was to where a solid white shirt and not get it dirtier than your boss’s shirt, management considered a white-collar job. I’m guessing that is why the color white was chosen. As, management usually required a collar shirt and tie.
Which we all know white is very hard to keep clean. I know a lot of people who can’t wear white and eat something red.
