Homemade Laundry Soap - try your hand at making laundry soap using some basic items. (Homemade Laundry Detergent)
This method is said to last around 400 loads of laundry. Actual results may vary. This cost us under $25 plus tax. (See below)
Laundry SoapFels-Naptha Laundry Bar & Stain Remover – 2 bars (5 Oz each = 10 Oz)
Baking Soda2 Lbs. – we got 4 lb box and used half of it
Borax4 Lb.
Washing Soda55 Oz
Laundry Scent Beadswe used Arm & Hammer Odor Blasters Approx 14 Oz (optional) we used ½ of a 38 Oz – you can use the scent and brand you like. If you want less scent you could divide this up in thirds)
OxiClean Powder 2 lbs or sooptional for added cleaning boost
Instructions
First grade the two bars of laundry soap. Keep in mind to watch your fingers on grating the bar of laundry soap.
Then add all of the other powders, scent beads and mix well.
Now use in your laundry washes!
