Update on Steve’s 1st Quilt – it has been awhile since I last updated my progress on my nautical quilt, my first attempt at quilting.
Update on Steve’s 1st Quilt
It’s been over a year since I did anything on my nautical quilt. I added more blocks to it and making it bigger. I now have it 12 blocks wide and 10 blocks tall. (Using 8 inch square).
Each block is unique nautical fabric.
Now I just need to add a lining, the back and do a border around it. As I do that, I will share my progress, so follow Steve Sews, so you don’t miss that.
This is 12 blocks wide by 10 blocks tall. (Used 8 inch blocks). Turns out 96” wide by 80” tall.
Yes, I know an unusual size. Standard Queen quilt is 90″ x 95″ while a standard king quilt is 108″ x 95″.
If I wanted to make it closer to a king I would need one more block set wide (make it 104” wide) and I would need to add two more block sets tall (96” tall). That would be a lot more unique fabric to add.
