How to Sew A Handmade Pocket Tissue Holder
This DIY project should take less than 10 minutes, usually I can get one done in 5 to 6 minutes.
I did make them one way, but I didn’t like that way that much. So I found another way and liked how they turned out. So I am going to share it with you all.
A pocket tissue holder simply is what it says, it holds the pocket size tissue packets.
I believe this is simple and easy to make. It is also a great way to get rid of your small fabric remnants. Yes! You should be saving ALL of your fabric remnants that you can! If not for this, but for quilting and patching. Anyways … Back to the how to …
What you will need
You will need your design fabric, matching lining fabric, matching thread, pins (optional) and a fabric marking pencil. I used cotton fabric.
Your design fabric needs to be cut 6 inches by 6 inches. Your lining fabric, which can be a solid color, needs to be 6 inches x 8 inches.
You can use pins to keep the fabric together. I didn’t in this case. I just sewed the pieces.
You align one side and sew down that side. Approx. 1/4″ scant. Means not quite, but almost 1/4″. Note the design fabric must be face down on the solid fabric.
