This day should be celebrated every day. Support your local small business! The holiday is celebrated annually on May 10th.

Founded by Small Business Administration and the holiday day is held during Small Business Week.

National Small Business Day, celebrated on May 10th, is a day dedicated to honoring the spirit of innovation and hard work that characterizes small businesses across the United States. It’s a time to appreciate the individuals who dream big and work tirelessly to turn their visions into reality.

In the land of opportunity, small businesses are the backbone of the economy, embodying the essence of American entrepreneurship. From the self-sufficient families of the 1600s who produced everything they needed on small farms, to the modern-day startups fueled by venture capital, the journey of small businesses is a testament to determination and ingenuity.

This special day is not just about celebrating the past and present achievements of small businesses but also about looking forward to the future. It’s about supporting local mom-and-pop stores, encouraging startups, and recognizing the significant role these businesses play in fostering community growth and innovation.

As we approach National Small Business Day on May 10, 2024, let’s remember to shop local, support our neighborhood businesses, and spread the word about the importance of small enterprises in creating a vibrant and prosperous society.

A lot of your local fabric shops and local quilt shops are examples of a small business.

Supporting small businesses do not cost you anything!
